‘Pass the Parcel’ is Sunnyside’s latest endeavour - An idea born from circumstance but completed through necessity. Refusing to become complacent, embracing the unfamiliar and determined to adapt to a new pace of life, Pass the Parcel sees the band delving further into the world of production than ever before. Each track - or ‘Parcel’ - on the EP was recorded remotely from several different locations, with each band member adding their own layer before passing it on. What results is an EP that touches on elements of RnB, Funk, Soul and House, tied together and coloured by a distinct warm haze.

Drum machines, acoustic drums and percussion blend seamlessly into each other. Stripped back 808’s push the music along, leaving the bass free to shape shift between each song of the EP. Layers of keys build up underneath the buttery-smooth vocals while the guitars and saxophones provide the textural massage for your ears that you didn’t know you needed. Pass the Parcel is an EP that unfolds slowly and indulgently in the best possible way - each listen unravelling another layer and getting you closer to the center of the Parcel.
